

Angel Reyes & Associates is a one of the preeminent personal injury law firms in Texas, focused on representing clients injured in road-related incidents. They partnered with On The Map Marketing to pitch their firm as a leading voice in road safety.
Road rage is a growing national issue. A few years ago a report found that there’s been a 500% surge in road rage incidents in the past decade.
Taking inspiration from the Netflix series Beef which parked cultural conversations around the emotional toll of modern driving, we saw an opportunity. We thought we’d map the U.S. cities where drivers are most (and least) likely to experience road rage—and turn cold data into a hot-button conversation.

Here are the three steps we took to execute their digital PR campaign:
We analyzed the 100 major U.S. cities using metrics from Numbeo, NHTSA, Gun Violence Archive, and U.S. Census to score “road rage risk.” . Each city received a normalized score, revealing where drivers are most—and least—likely to encounter road rage on U.S. roads.
Next we developed branded visual assets (ranked “Top 10 Worst” and “Top 10 Most Road-Rage-Free Cities”) to support outreach and increase pickup.
We hoped that these assets make the story easier to cover for journalists and more likely to be featured.
